Fantasy in the Classroom

FPCTA after-school programs are modifications of our general acting curriculum. The classes focus on developing the Actor’s Tool Box (Body, Voice, Mind, and Imagination) that inspire creativity and build self-confidence. For eight or ten weeks, students will be divided up into age-appropriate classes and meet after school one day a week for an hour. We will explore elements of theatre that are developmentally appropriate and engaging. On the final day of class, students will apply their skills in an informal sharing for family and friends.
FPCTA has liability insurance and provides schools with proof of policy upon request.
The Education Director or senior staff member will attend the first and last classes of each session, as well as make periodic visits to each school throughout the session to observe classes.

10-12 students per class. If more than 12 students enroll then an additional teacher will be present or the class will be divided to make two classes. Classes are divided by age and are one hour long. FPCTA requests a large room for our after-school classes. For example: multipurpose room, cafeteria, library or large classroom where desk/furniture can be moved.
