Lab 87: Teen Acting Conservatory
2025-2026
Lab 87 is FPCTA's pre-professional training program intended for serious performers ages 13-18. Students will be exposed to a variety of performance skills, including on-camera acting (including self-tape), resume building, musical theatre, audition technique, voice & movement, and classical text work. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with college programs and area professionals in the performing arts field. Each student will leave the class with their own customized audition book of material and updated resume. The class will culminate in a performance showcase. The goal of Lab 87 is for our students to graduate from the program with the necessary skills to work and train professionally as performing artists. Admission is by audition only in August of each year. Previous members are automatically enrolled in the upcoming program. Lab 87 meets weekly on Monday evenings from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm during the academic year.
Previous acting and/or musical theatre coursework or equivalent experience is required. Recommended prerequisites include Acting/Musical Theatre and/or a Performance Showcase.
Tuition is $495 for the academic year. Payment plans and tuition assistance available.
