Meet Chris Clark, Professional Actor & Fantasy Alumni

[...] the skills that you learn in the theater, outside of performing and acting, are valuable skills that you can take with you in any profession.
— Chris Clark

Chris Clark’s journey with Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater and Academy spans seven memorable seasons, each one deepening his love for theater and the community it fosters. His introduction to the stage came with “The Shoemaker,” where he portrayed Rolf, a role that set the stage for many more stories, new experiences, and friendships to come. From the very beginning, Chris was captivated by the creative process, the camaraderie among cast members, and the chance to immerse himself in different worlds through storytelling.

What Chris cherishes most about FPCTA is its commitment to community outreach. He believes strongly in the company’s efforts to make the arts accessible to underprivileged children and families, ensuring that everyone has the chance to experience the transformative magic of theater. For Chris, FPCTA is not just a place to perform; it is a place that actively brings people together and gives back to the broader community. Watching FPCTA reach out to those who might not otherwise have access to the arts has inspired Chris to become an advocate for arts education and equity.

Through his years at FPCTA, Chris learned invaluable lessons about the craft and business of acting. The experience of auditioning, sometimes landing a part, sometimes facing rejection, taught him resilience, humility, and the importance of perseverance as an actor. He came to understand that auditioning is as much about learning and personal growth as it is about getting the role. Each audition challenged him to improve, while every show became an opportunity to connect with new collaborators and audiences, building his confidence and honing his abilities both on and off the stage.

What truly sets FPCTA apart for Chris is the incredible sense of belonging it creates. The magic of FPCTA is in how it unites people from all walks of life, including families like his own. Some of Chris's fondest memories stem from sharing the stage with his mom, creating a bond that extended beyond rehearsals and performances into their everyday lives. For Chris, FPCTA is more than a theater; it is a place where families grow closer, friendships flourish, and people discover their own creative potential in a supportive environment.

Chris Clark’s story is a testament to FPCTA’s mission, building community, expanding access to the arts, and creating lifelong connections through the joy of performance. He is grateful for every season spent with FPCTA and looks forward to many more, knowing that the lessons and relationships he has gained will remain with him always.
