Hear ye, Hear ye! Calling all princesses, princes, and royal guards! Let the royal magic begin with a delicious pancake breakfast served by our very own Cinderella and Friends! Families of North Alabama are invited to join us for an immersive show and royal dining experience with music, dance, lessons in royal values, storytime, and photos with Cinderella and Friends!

On the royal menu*- yummy pancakes, sausage, fruit, and juice. Come as you are or dress as a princess or prince for this magical live performance. Space is limited, so get your tickets today! Children ages 0-13 must be accompanied by an Adult.

Get ready for our 2nd Annual Cocktails Under the Stars! (CUTS). CUTS is back and with a new look. CUTS is Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy’s annual fundraising event, which supports FPCTA’s dynamic growth and celebrates its role as an arts education leader for children in North Alabama. We invite you to join us on August 16, 2025, at our new building located on the Boulevard (3320 Triana Blvd SW)! The evening will include heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a silent auction of high-quality items and unique experiences from some of North Alabama’s favorite businesses. This event is 21+. Included in your ticket price is TWO drink tickets. Additional drink tickets may be purchased online or onsite.

Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater and Academy (FPCTA) provides theatre arts access through production, education, and outreach, reaching tens of thousands of residents annually, the majority of whom are children and youth. FPCTA enriches the lives of children and families through theatre and arts education, encouraging students to become self-confident, academically successful, creative-thinking citizens who are more likely to invest in their communities as adults. A new Cinderella will be presented by Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy to kick off their 65th Season. This world premiere production will be the first mainstage production at our new home on the Boulevard!

The creative team is seeking a dynamic ensemble of approximately 25 performers for the world premiere of Cinderella, a new adaptation by Stephen Tyler Davis, music by Stacy Morris, and additional story by Penny Hester! This brand-new, fantastical retelling is filled with heart, humor, magic, and original songs you’ll be singing all the way home!

    • Optional: 30-45 seconds (about 16-bar cut) song of choice. Actor(s) must provide a track or sing a cappella.

    • Resume

      • Optional Cover Letter with a brief personal statement on why they want to be in Lab 87 and their strengths as an actorABOUT: Lab 87 is FPCTA's pre-professional training program intended for serious performers ages 13-18. Students will be exposed to a variety of performance skills, including on-camera acting (including self-tape), resume building, musical theatre, audition technique, voice & movement, and classical text work. Students will also have the opportunity to meet with college programs and area professionals in the performing arts field. Each student will leave the class with their own customized audition book of material and updated resume. The class will culminate in a performance showcase. The goal of Lab 87 is for our students to graduate from the program with the necessary skills to work and train professionally as performing artists. Admission is by audition only in August of each year. Previous members are automatically enrolled in the upcoming program. Lab 87 meets weekly on Monday evenings from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm during the academic year.

Previous acting and/or musical theatre coursework or equivalent experience is required. Recommended prerequisites include Acting/Musical Theatre and/or a Performance Showcase.
