Submit Your Designs

FPCTA  invites artists, students, and community members to submit updated costume design concepts for FPCTA mascots Fantasy and Fantasy Jr. The goals of this project are to:

  1. Celebrate FPCTA’s legacy during its 65th Anniversary Season – 65 Years of Magic.

  2. Refresh mascot costume designs in a way that honors tradition while embracing sustainability, accessibility, and future growth.

  3. Engage the community in a collaborative artistic endeavor connected to FPCTA’s mission.

Submission Requirements

By submitting a design to this contest, the participant agrees to the following:

  • Each participant may submit up to three original design concepts.

  • Submissions may include drawings, digital designs, sketches, descriptions, or costume renderings in a PDF form to be uploaded via Google Form..

  • Submissions must align with FPCTA’s brand colors and themes and reflect the legacy of the mascots.

  • Submissions must be wholly original and may not include copyrighted material or AI-generated content without significant original artistic modification.

  • Selected designers may be invited to collaborate with other designers on final designs, participate in the costume build process, and attend the Season 65 costume reveal.

  • Submissions must include the designer’s name, age, and other contact information included on the Google form.

Ownership & Intellectual Property

  1. Ownership of Characters
    The mascots known as Fantasy and Fantasy Jr., including their likenesses, voice, names, personalities, and all costume versions (past, present, and future), are exclusive intellectual property of FPCTA.

  2. Transfer of Rights in Submissions

    • All Submissions become the property of FPCTA upon entry and will not be returned.

    • By submitting, the designer assigns FPCTA full and exclusive ownership of the Submission and all related intellectual property rights.

    • FPCTA may modify, adapt, develop, reproduce, distribute, and publicly display any Submission without limitation, in any format now or later developed.

    • Designers understand that no royalties, residuals, or future payments are due for use of their Submission.

  3. Credit & Attribution
    FPCTA values creative contribution. If a Submission is selected or influences the final mascot redesign:

    • FPCTA will provide public acknowledgment such as “Costume Design Contributor” or similar designation.

    • FPCTA is not obligated to provide financial compensation unless otherwise arranged in writing.

  4. Future Development Rights
    FPCTA retains the sole authority to update, adjust, or redesign mascot costumes at any time. Any future changes will be made with respect for FPCTA’s legacy while advancing sustainability and branding goals for the next 65 years.

Participation Invitation

If a design or designer is selected for final development:

  • FPCTA may invite the designer to join collaborative meetings, workshops, or construction sessions with production staff and volunteers.

  • Participation is voluntary and does not create employment or contractor status.

  • FPCTA will oversee all final artistic, technical, and branding decisions.

Legal Release

By entering this contest, participants (and parents/guardians of minors) agree:

  • The Submission is original and does not infringe on others’ rights.

  • FPCTA is released from any claims related to use of the Submission.

  • Participants waive rights to inspect or approve final usage of designs.

  • FPCTA may cancel or modify the contest at any time.
