To begin the background check process, please click the button ‘BEGIN BCHEX PROCESS’. The cost to complete the background check is $19.50. Payment can be made online through the BChex platform.

As a 501(c) nonprofit, FPCTA respectfully asks that individuals cover the cost of the background check to the best of their ability. We understand the importance of theater accessibility and believe that there should be no financial barriers to volunteering at FPCTA. If you are unable to cover the cost, please click [HERE]

Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy (FPCTA) is fully committed to creating a safe environment for all of its patrons, families, students, volunteers, staff members, and the community at large. As part of this commitment, we are asking all of our volunteers to agree to our FANTASY SAFE policy.

  • Volunteers are required to agree to the following:

    • I understand my role as explained in the FPCTA Volunteer Handbook

    • I agree to the mission, vision, and values of the FPCTA community.

    • I have submitted and passed an approved background check.

      • Background Check Policies & Procedures [VIEW]

      • Only mandatory for TIER 1 VOLUNTEERS AGED 18+

        • A TIER 1 volunteer is anyone who plans or currently volunteers backstage for Mainstage & Academy and has direct, ongoing interaction with minors.

          • Child Safety Policy [VIEW]

    • I commit to contributing to a safe, fun, and creative community.
